世界戦略魚の作出を目指したタイ原産魚介類の家魚化と養魚法の構築

概要	本研究は、タイの在来魚介類の中から世界戦略魚を家魚化し、その養殖法を開発することで食料安全保障に寄与することを目的とする。世界で消費される食用水産物の半分は養殖由来であることから養殖による食資源生産は重要であるが、世界中で養殖されている魚介類の多くは生産国には存在しない外来種であり、自然界への逃亡による生態系への影響が一部の地域では問題になっている。そこで、タイ在来種のアジアスズキとバナナエビを国際市場で世界有数の主要水産物として扱われる養殖種とするために、家魚化を含む両種の生産技術を構築する。養殖対象種としての有用形質を選抜するためのゲノム育種と、ワクチン等による感染症防除法の開発を実施する。さらに、将来のさらなる有用形質の選抜を想定し、多様な野生個体の遺伝資源と本課題で作出した各品種を組織・細胞レベルで永久保存し、これらの材料からいつでも個体を創りだす技術開発を行う。
