磁性を活用した革新的熱電材料・デバイスの開発

概要	Society5.0 はあらゆる情報をセンサによって取得し、AI によって解析することで、新たな価値を創造していく社会となる。今後、膨大な数のセンサが設置されることが予想されるが、その電源として、環境中の熱源（排熱や体温等）を直接電力に変換する熱電変換モジュールが注目されている。本課題では、200年来待望の熱電発電の実用化に向けて、従来の限界を打ち破る効果として、パラマグノンドラグなどの磁性を活用した熱電増強新原理や薄膜効果を活用することにより、前人未踏の超高性能熱電材料を開発する。一方で、これまで成し得なかった産業プロセス・低コスト大量生産に適したモジュール化（多素子に利がある半導体薄膜モジュールおよびフレキシブル大面積熱電発電シートなど）にも取り組む。　オールジャパンの熱電研究チームを構築して世界をリードし、将来社会を支えると言われる無数のIoTセンサー・デバイスのための自立電源（熱電池）など、新規産業の創出と市場の開拓を目指す。
