概要	大規模データセンタ内のスイッチなど、ハイエンドの情報処理システムにおいては、入出力の帯域がボトルネックとして顕在化している。具体的には、入出力部分の電気配線やCMOS回路において、高速化・低消費電力化を両立することが難しくなっている。我々は、情報伝送を担う光信号と、情報処理を担う電気信号との間を、スピンによって仲介させるという全く新しい機構を用いて、情報の入出力に飛躍的な進化をもたらす光電インターフェースを開発する。スピンを用いたボーレート高速化によってデバイス・システムの構造を簡素化することで、高速・低消費電力を両立し、短距離配線の光化に貢献する。また、本研究開発に纏わる要素技術は、エッジ情報処理デバイスにおける不揮発性メモリへと波及が見込まれる。
