概要	本プロジェクトでは、気候変動に伴い激甚化が予想される台風を、防災インフラの有効範囲程度まで抑制する制御理論と要素技術を開発します。航空機、船舶、衛星での高精度観測と台風内部まで再現する数値モデル開発を行い、台風制御理論を確立します。災害予測と影響評価を行い、台風制御の社会受容性と合意形成の問題にも取り組みます。それにより、2050年には台風の脅威から解放された安全で豊かな社会の実現を目指します。
研究領域	(ムーンショット目標8）2050年までに、激甚化しつつある台風や豪雨を制御し極端風水害の脅威から解放された安全安心な社会を実現
